In the older days (i.e. in the beginning of 2020, comedians may have imagined spending years gigging up and down the UK as stand-ups, before being invited onto a television panel show and selling out an arena tour. But, right now, it's not so easy. Comedy is one art form that can continue to be performed front of a live audience, however, we'll probably not be having arena tours anytime soon. However, one comedian from Bristol has been able to reach an international public through the use of the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke wasn't aiming to become a global internet star. Abi, who is 24, lives in Henbury and started making online videos "to build a network of like-minded individuals who would appreciate my standup comedy." "I was performing a lot more shows in Devon for males 50 and over, and I began making online videos hoping to build an audience of people who would enjoy my stand up comedy," Abi said.
